A tango quartet from Buenos Aires will play for dancers in Sofia

On 8th February 2011 Sofia Live Club will host a second tango event organized by Tanguerin. This time the leading tango concert promoter in Bulgaria will present a special milonga with live music performed by Аlejandro Ziegler Cuarteto - a typical tango ensemble from Buenos Aires, quickly gaining popularity in Argentina and Europe with their incredible interpretation of the authentic argentine tango music! This is a rare opportunity to listen and dance to music performed live in the style of the greatest orchestras in the history of tango

Founder and director of the quartet is the pianist Alejandro Ziegler. Born in Buenos Aires he graduated from the UCA music university in composition and orquestral conducting. As a pianist he joined the famous Orquesta Escuela de Tango where he performed for more than 2 years under legendary conductors Emilio Balcarce and Nestor Marconi. 2007 saw the birth of Alejandro Ziegle Quartet. With this group of musicians he recreated tango classics as well as his own original compositions. Their repertoire of classical tango performed in the style of the most famous orquestras of all time, such as Troilo, Pugliese, Di Sarli and Piazzolla, was recorded on their first CD in 2008.  Since then they have performed many times in Buenos Aires and toured extensively in Argentina and Europe. On 8th February they will play for the first time in Bulgaria bringing to Sofia through their performance the Golden Age of Tango with the original arrangements and the very distinct sound of the orchestras of that era. More information about Alejandro Ziegler and his quartet can be found on the official page of the artist www.alejandroziegler.com

On the day of the event Sofia Live Club will open its doors at 20:00 and the milonga will start with DJ tanguerin. Alejandro Ziegler Cuarteto will start playing at around 20:30. Ticket for the event can be purchased from the box offices of Ticket Plus: www.ticketplus.bg
